About The Producer
The Biscardo family has made wine from its base in Soave for more than 150 years. Today, brothers Maurizio and Martino lead the business, producing wines throughout Veneto and southern Italy. Maurizio’s decades of experience as a winemaking consultant have helped shape a range known for generous fruit, polished textures and excellent value. Neropasso begins the family’s trilogy of modern Venetian wines.
Winemaking Information
A blend of Corvinone, Corvina and Cabernet Sauvignon, harvested by hand from vineyards across Veneto. A portion of the grapes is dried in a well-ventilated fruttaio, concentrating its sugars and flavours before fermentation. The finished wine spends six months ageing, with 40% matured in large, previously used oak tonneaux and the remainder in stainless steel. This partial appassimento method creates richness without sacrificing freshness.
