About The Producer
Domaine Guillaman has been in the hands of the Ferret family for six generations, farming vineyards in the heart of the Côtes de Gascogne in south-west France. While the region is often overshadowed by its more famous French neighbours, it has quietly built a reputation for producing some of the country's best-value aromatic whites. The family focuses on sustainable viticulture (HVE certified) and varieties perfectly suited to the local climate, creating wines that are fresh, expressive and made for everyday enjoyment rather than ceremony. They're the sort of bottles that remind you great wine doesn't have to cost a fortune.
Winemaking Information
The grapes are grown on the rolling hills of Gascony, where warm days and cool nights help Gros Manseng develop its trademark combination of ripe fruit and vibrant acidity. After harvesting, the fruit is gently pressed and fermented at cool temperatures in stainless steel tanks to preserve its aromatic intensity. Fermentation is stopped before all the natural grape sugars are converted to alcohol, leaving a touch of residual sweetness that perfectly balances the wine's crisp, refreshing finish.
