Why You'll Love It
Bright, taut and beautifully composed, this is a dry Riesling with impressive precision. Ripe citrus, white peach and crisp orchard fruit are complemented by a distinctive stony minerality and a subtle spice that reflects the vineyard's red sandstone soils. The lively acidity keeps everything focused without ever feeling austere, making it as rewarding with food as it is on its own. Try it with grilled seafood, pork, sushi or lightly spiced Asian dishes.
About The Producer
The Dönnhoff family have been farming in Oberhausen, on the banks of the River Nahe, for generations, but it was Helmut Dönnhoff who transformed the estate into one of Germany’s great names from his first vintage in 1971. Today, his son Cornelius continues the family’s meticulous approach across some of the Nahe’s finest vineyards.
Dönnhoff’s Rieslings are celebrated for their remarkable purity, energy and sense of place. From the volcanic slopes of Kupfergrube to the slate and sandstone of Hermannshöhle, Brücke and Leistenberg, each vineyard has a distinct character, translated with extraordinary precision in the cellar. The result is a range of beautifully transparent Rieslings that we believe rank among the very finest wines Germany has to offer.

Winemaking Information
The fruit comes from the steep, south-facing Roxheimer Höllenpfad vineyard, where weathered red sandstone soils give Riesling a distinctive spicy, mineral edge. Grapes are selectively hand-harvested from vines aged around 10–40 years before gentle pressing. Fermentation and maturation take place in a combination of stainless steel and traditional large oak casks, preserving freshness while adding texture and complexity.
