About The Producer
Familia Zuccardi is one of Argentina's most influential wine producers. The story began in 1963 when Alberto Zuccardi planted vineyards in Mendoza, and today the winery is led by third-generation winemaker Sebastián Zuccardi. Under his guidance, the family has become synonymous with exploring the unique terroirs of the Uco Valley, helping to redefine what Argentine wine can achieve. Their commitment to research, sustainability and vineyard expression has earned international acclaim, with Zuccardi frequently recognised among the world's leading wineries. The Los Olivos range is named after the olive trees that have long been part of the family's heritage and serves as an accessible introduction to the quality and character of the Uco Valley.
Winemaking Information
The fruit for Los Olivos comes from selected high-altitude vineyards in Mendoza's Uco Valley, around 1,050 metres above sea level. The combination of intense sunshine and cool nights helps preserve freshness while achieving full ripeness. Following fermentation, around half of the wine is matured in French oak barrels for approximately 10 months, adding subtle notes of vanilla, spice and texture while allowing the vibrant fruit character of Malbec to remain centre stage.
