About The Producer
Bruno Murciano grew up in Caudete de las Fuentes before building an international career as an award-winning sommelier, including time at The Ritz in London. In 2010, he returned to his roots and bought Las Brunas, an old vineyard surrounded by woodland. Working alongside his winemaker brother José Luis, Bruno now champions Valencia’s overlooked native grapes through organic farming, biodynamic techniques and thoughtful, low-intervention winemaking. These are Mediterranean wines, but altitude and careful picking give them far more freshness than you might expect.
Winemaking Information
The native Valencian grapes are hand-harvested into small 10kg crates from old, dry-farmed bush vines. After two days of cold maceration at 2°C, fermentation is divided between temperature-controlled stainless steel and seasoned 500-litre French oak. The wine then rests on its fine lees for six months, gaining a creamy texture and subtle vanilla spice without losing its bright citrus freshness. Farming follows organic and biodynamic principles, with minimal intervention in the cellar.
