Cracking claret, this. Certainly on the softer side with youthful, easy-drinking fresh red fruit flavours of cherry, raspberry, and strawberry compote. Grown up with just a touch of cedar and spice. Perhaps this is mid-week in both price and style?! Though being so high on the drinkability scale, perhaps one should wait until the weekend where we are afforded the luxury of time to both cook and recover. Hearty beef stew would be a winner with this, but ensure you have more than one bottle to hand. You'll have consumed most of the first bottle whilst slaving over the stove. 

Château Les Tourelles is a 10.5-hectare estate located in the Cadillac Côtes de Bordeaux region, specialising in both red and sweet white wines. Bought in 1938 by Jean Darriet, the estate is currently managed by the 6th generation of winemakers. Situated on hilly terrain with good gravel terroir and natural drainage, the vineyards produce high-quality grapes that are often aged in stainless steel to preserve fresh fruit characteristics. The estate offers an easy-drinking style of Bordeaux Red and an unctuous Cadillac sweet white wine. It is a highly respected producer known for producing accessible, well-structured wines.
