Cherubino Pedestal Cabernet Sauvignon 2023

This is quintessential new world Cabernet. Not hot, stewed and overworked, this is pure and refined with plenty of blackcurrant and blackberry fruit, alongside classic Cabernet notes of bay leaf and cedar. A touch of French oak brings hints of dark chocolate, spice and softens the tannins. A really impressive, medium weight red.

Serious enough for a Sunday roast or braised meat dishes, but plush enough to enjoy as a quaffable, autumnal red.

Larry Cherubino is one of Australia's most respected winemakers. After studying at the renowned Roseworthy Agricultural College, he gained experience across Australia and internationally before founding his own winery with his wife Edwina in 2005. Today, Cherubino farms vineyards across several of Western Australia's leading regions, including Margaret River, Frankland River and Pemberton. His philosophy centres on matching grape varieties to the right sites and allowing regional character to shine through in the finished wines. The winery has become one of Australia's most acclaimed producers, earning numerous awards and a reputation for combining precision, value and a strong sense of place.
