About The Producer
Bela is CVNE’s Ribera del Duero estate in Villalba de Duero, named for Sofía (Bela), the daughter of CVNE co-founder Eusebio Real de Asúa. Its vineyards sit above 800 metres and combine sandy-loam and clay-rich soils. The three stars on the label represent Bela and her siblings.
Winemaking Information
100% Tempranillo (Tinta del País) from vineyards near Villalba de Duero, Ribera del Duero, over 800 metres above sea level. The producer describes hand-selected grapes, cold pre-fermentation maceration, fermentation in stainless steel and maturation for nine months in French oak, followed by a minimum three months in bottle. The wine is listed as suitable for vegans by a UK specialist stockist.
