About The Producer
The Guntrum family has been making wine since 1648, with Louis Guntrum establishing the present estate beside the Rhine in Nierstein in 1909. Today it is run by eleventh-generation winemaker Konstantin Guntrum and his wife Stephanie. Although best known for Riesling grown across Rheinhessen’s red sandstone, limestone and clay soils, the family also produces the Zero Heroes range of characterful alcohol-free alternatives.
Winemaking Information
Produced from Sauvignon Blanc that is first fermented as a conventional white wine before being dealcoholised. The finished drink is lightly flavoured to restore the grape’s aromatic character following alcohol removal. With 5g/l residual sugar, it retains freshness while offering a gentle touch of sweetness. Best served well chilled.
