About The Producer
Rook en Spieëls works with interesting South African vineyard sites to make low-intervention wines. Bosbrand brings together two Carignan parcels in Wellington, planted in 1979 and 2003.
Winemaking Information
Carignan from two Wellington vineyards, planted in 1979 and 2003, vinified separately. The older-vine portion spends nine months in used 600-litre French oak barrels. Around 30% of the younger-vine portion undergoes whole-cluster fermentation for freshness. Reported ABV varies between retailers; check the 2023 bottle label.
