About The Producer
Fontodi is a benchmark Panzano estate, run by Giovanni Manetti and owned by the family since 1968. Its organically farmed vineyards lie in the Conca d'Oro. Terrazze San Leolino is a five-hectare limestone-rich terraced site below the church of San Leolino.
Winemaking Information
100% Sangiovese from the southwest-facing, limestone-rich Terrazze San Leolino vineyard. In 2019 the wine was fermented with indigenous yeasts in temperature-controlled stainless steel with maceration lasting at least three weeks. Matured in French oak barrels for eighteen months followed by six months in oak casks. Certified organic; technical information also lists vegetarian suitability and practising biodynamic viticulture.
