Why You'll Love It
The village of Puligny-Montrachet is the standard by which Chardonnay - the worlds most widely planted white grape - is compared all over the world.
La Garenne is one of the top vineyard sites in the village, yielding a very classical style. Aromas of lemon zest, white peach and ripe pear are layered with hazelnut, warm brioche and a whisper of struck flint. The palate is beautifully focused, with a chalky minerality and mouthwatering freshness that carries through to an incredibly long finish. Rich and powerful, but effortlessly elegance and precise.
A spectacular match for lobster, Dover sole, turbot, roast chicken with morels or simply enjoyed on its own when only great white Burgundy will do. This is a bottle to savour now or cellar for the next decade.

About The Producer
Domaine Moingeon André et Fils is a family estate based in the village of Saint-Aubin, where generations of the Moingeon family have quietly crafted some of the Côte de Beaune's finest-value wines. Farming around 10 hectares across Saint-Aubin, Puligny-Montrachet and Chassagne-Montrachet, the domaine focuses on traditional Burgundian winemaking with minimal intervention, allowing each vineyard to express its own identity. Their Premier Cru wines have developed a loyal following for delivering genuine Côte de Beaune pedigree without the eye-watering prices often associated with their more famous neighbours.
Winemaking Information
La Garenne is one of Puligny-Montrachet's highest Premier Cru vineyards, occupying a steep, south-east-facing slope of classic limestone and clay soils. The altitude and exposure give the wine exceptional freshness and precision. The grapes are hand-harvested before fermenting with indigenous yeasts in French oak barrels. The wine is then matured on its fine lees, building texture and complexity while allowing the vineyard's distinctive mineral character to remain the focus. The result is a beautifully poised Chardonnay that perfectly captures the elegance for which Puligny-Montrachet is famous.
