Why You'll Love It
Les Clos is widely regarded as the greatest of Chablis' seven Grand Crus, producing wines with an extraordinary combination of power and finesse. Expect layers of lemon zest, ripe pear and orchard fruit wrapped around smoky flint, crushed oyster shell and a wonderfully saline finish. There's plenty of power, but it's the precision and freshness that make this wine so appealing.
Enjoy it now with lobster, turbot in beurre blanc or roast chicken with morels, or tuck it away for a decade and watch it develop extraordinary complexity.

About The Producer
Domaine Vocoret et Fils is one of Chablis' historic family estates, with roots stretching back to 1713. Today the domaine is run by the fourth generation of the Vocoret family, farming around 33 hectares, with an enviable collection of Premier Cru and Grand Cru vineyards. Their philosophy is one of restraint: allowing each vineyard to express itself rather than relying on heavy winemaking. The result is a range of Chablis that captures everything people love about the region - precision, purity and unmistakable minerality. Les Clos sits at the very top of their portfolio and represents the domaine at its finest.
Winemaking Information
The fruit comes from Les Clos, the largest and most celebrated of Chablis' seven Grand Cru vineyards. South-west facing on classic Kimmeridgian limestone soils packed with fossilised oyster shells, the site consistently produces Chablis of remarkable concentration and longevity. The grapes are harvested by hand before fermenting with indigenous yeasts. The wine is then matured on its fine lees in French oak, where the barrels add texture rather than overt oak flavour, allowing the vineyard's famous mineral character to remain front and centre.
