About The Producer
Burnt House Vineyard is a family-run estate in Little Finborough, Suffolk, where the Scarff family have farmed the land since 1925. Planted on 27 south-facing acres, the vineyard specialises in Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier, Bacchus and Pinot Gris, producing both still and traditional method sparkling wines. Combining generations of agricultural experience with a modern approach to sustainability and winemaking, Burnt House has quickly established itself as one of East Anglia's most exciting producers, crafting wines that proudly showcase the potential of Suffolk.
Winemaking Information
Produced exclusively from estate-grown fruit, Burnt House Brut is crafted using the Traditional Method, with a second fermentation taking place in bottle to create its fine, persistent mousse. The grapes are hand-picked from south-facing vineyards in Suffolk before gentle pressing and cool fermentation. Extended ageing on the lees brings layers of brioche and toasted complexity while preserving the bright fruit and vibrant acidity that are the hallmark of premium English sparkling wine.
