Why You'll Love It
Looking for the best value alternative to rosé Champagne? Call off the search - you're in the right place. This soft, sophisticated sparkler is packed full of strawberries, sour cherries and redcurrant. With just a touch of brioche, shortcake and marzipan, the juice has all the decadence of Champagne, but the drinkability of a wicked, zippy and pure Crémant.
About The Producer
Founded in 1906, Fruitière Vinicole d'Arbois is one of France's oldest wine cooperatives and has played a pivotal role in preserving the identity of the Jura. Today, almost 100 growers farm around 250 hectares of vineyards, producing wines from the region's distinctive grape varieties, including Chardonnay, Savagnin, Poulsard and Trousseau. Their commitment to quality helped establish Arbois as one of France's very first Appellations d'Origine Contrôlée (AOCs) in 1936. Combining generations of local knowledge with modern winemaking, the cooperative continues to produce some of Jura's finest-value wines, from iconic Vin Jaune to exceptional Crémant.
Winemaking Information
This Crémant is made using the traditional method, with the second fermentation taking place in bottle to create its fine, persistent mousse. Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Poulsard are co-fermented, with a short period of skin contact giving the wine its delicate salmon-pink hue and bright berry character. It then spends around 12 months ageing on its lees before disgorgement, building complexity while retaining the freshness that Jura sparkling wines are renowned for.
