Why You'll Love It
Précoce is alive! Like a cross between Cru Beaujolais and red Burgundy from the Côte de Beaune, this wine is a lot of fun, but with serious structure and class.
Juicy, velvety and bursting with red fruit energy. Layers of bramble jam, red cherry and white pepper lead into a super-bright, fruit-forward palate with smooth tannins.
Deliciously drinkable, especially when lightly chilled to bring out all of the lovely fruity character. With food, this is an excellent pairing to pan seared duck, wild mushroom risotto or a simple plate of charcuterie.

About The Producer
Founded in 2016 by winemaker Ben Witchell, Flint Vineyard is one of the most exciting names in English wine. Located in the Waveney Valley on the Norfolk-Suffolk border, the estate benefits from East Anglia's dry climate and abundant sunshine, producing wines of exceptional freshness and precision.
Drawing on experience gained in both England and France, Witchell has built a reputation for combining innovation with meticulous attention to detail. Flint is particularly renowned for its vibrant Bacchus, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir Précoce, as well as its pioneering Charmat-method sparkling wines. With a strong focus on sustainability and experimentation, Flint Vineyard continues to push the boundaries of modern English winemaking while remaining firmly rooted in its East Anglian home.

Winemaking Information
Précoce is made from a blend of Pinot Noir Précoce (a Germanic, early ripening clone of Pinot Noir, well suited to Englands climate) and Pinot Noir grown in Norfolk and Essex. The fruit was hand-harvested and fermented using a combination of whole bunches and destemmed berries, drawing inspiration from both Beaujolais and Burgundy. Fermentation took place in concrete tanks before the wine was transferred to neutral oak barrels for malolactic fermentation and six months of ageing. Bottled with minimal filtration and low sulphur, the winemaking is deliberately hands-off, allowing the fruit to take centre stage.
