About The Producer
At Bodegas Altolandon, owner and winemaker Rosalía Molina makes remarkable wines high in Spain's Manchuela region, where vineyards reach around 1,100 metres above sea level. Warm days and cold nights encourage ripe fruit without sacrificing freshness. Organic farming, biodiversity and indigenous-yeast fermentation define a thoughtful approach to this challenging, high-altitude landscape.
Winemaking Information
100% Petit Manseng from high-altitude Manchuela. In suitably cold conditions, healthy grapes are harvested frozen and pressed while ice crystals remain, concentrating sugars and acidity. Native yeasts ferment the concentrated must slowly for two to three months in small stainless-steel tanks, followed by natural settling. Technical information for 2024 records around 124 g/L residual sugar. No oak ageing.
