Red Muscadel is a true Cape classic, celebrated for its rich flavours and timeless appeal. Despite its acclaim with each vintage, it remains a hidden gem outside of South Africa. This particular vintage hails from a cellar established in 1963, nestled at the foot of the Langeberg mountain range in the heart of the Worcester wine region.

Locally known as Muscadel, this varietal is actually Muscat de Frontignan. Crafted with care, the grapes are mulched and left in contact with their skins for up to 48 hours, enhancing the wine's depth and complexity. After separation, the skins are pressed, and the must is fortified with minimal fermentation to preserve its vibrant sweetness.

Expect a beautifully balanced wine with luscious notes of caramel, raisins, and red fruit, all lifted by a refreshing acidity. Perfect for those seeking a unique, sweet wine experience.
