About The Producer
Isole e Olena sits in the western part of Chianti Classico, between Florence and Siena. Its name comes from two neighbouring villages, and the estate is best known for showing just how good wines from this corner of Tuscany can be. Chardonnay might sound like an unexpected choice here, but Isole e Olena has been making it since 1987. It has become one of the estate’s most distinctive wines: a serious, age-worthy white with unmistakable Tuscan warmth
Winemaking Information
The 2023 Chardonnay is fermented in small oak barrels, around 25–30% of which are new. It then spends extended time on its fine lees, which helps build the wine’s texture and depth. The oak adds a gentle toasted note alongside the ripe fruit
