About The Producer
Cape Wild sits within the Wild House family of South African wines, exploring the generous fruit of Western Cape vineyards with a minimal-handling approach. This Chardonnay comes from a single Paarl vineyard, with just a proportion fermented in seasoned French oak to add texture without overwhelming the fruit.
Winemaking Information
100% Chardonnay from a single vineyard in Paarl. Naturally fermented without cultured yeast, approximately 80% in tank and 20% in seasoned French oak. Partial malolactic fermentation, nine months on fine lees, no fining and only coarse filtration. The 2024 release is listed at 14% ABV.
