About The Producer
Hacienda López de Haro is based in San Vicente de la Sonsierra on Rioja's Ebro terraces. The winery selects low-yielding vineyards and uses traditional oak maturation, making expressive Rioja with fruit, elegance and gently savoury complexity.
Winemaking Information
Predominantly Tempranillo with less than 10% Garnacha and Graciano from low-yielding Sonsierra vineyards. Hand harvested, with 8–10 days' maceration and spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts. Current producer specifications describe 16 months in French, Eastern European and American oak; some 2021 listings give 18 months. The 2021 is listed at 13.5% ABV.
