Soft, round and smooth with flavours of dark cherry, plum, bramble fruit and vanilla. Just a touch of peppery spice keep things alive on the smooth, velvety palate. About The Producer
Founded in 1983 in Navarra, Bodegas Agronavarra has built a reputation for producing outstanding value Spanish wines that consistently punch above their price point. Working with vineyards across the region, the winery combines modern winemaking with carefully selected fruit to create approachable, characterful wines that showcase Spain's native grape varieties. The Perdido range has become something of a cult favourite among independent wine merchants, earning praise for its remarkable quality and exceptional value, including accolades at both the Decanter World Wine Awards and The Wine Merchant Top 100.
Winemaking Information
The fruit is harvested at optimum ripeness before fermentation in stainless steel tanks at around 25°C. After approximately ten days, the wine is separated from the skins to preserve its bright fruit character while avoiding excessive tannin extraction. There is no oak ageing, allowing the fresh flavours of Tempranillo to take centre stage. The result is a generous, fruit-driven red with soft tannins and plenty of immediate appeal.
