About The Producer
Vinteloper was founded by David Bowley with a simple philosophy: make wines with personality that are serious in quality but never intimidating. Although based in the Adelaide Hills, the winery has built a strong reputation for producing expressive wines that reflect the unique character of each vineyard site. A thoughtful, hands-off approach in both the vineyard and winery allows the fruit to speak for itself, creating wines with precision, energy and a genuine sense of place.
Winemaking Information
Grown in the cool Adelaide Hills, this Pinot Gris is made with a minimal intervention approach to preserve the purity of the fruit and the character of the vineyard. Mostly fermented in stainless steel, it retains vibrant freshness. A portion is fermented in old French barriques on the skins, allowing the naturally pink hue of Pinot Gris to lend a delicate blush and subtle texture. The wine is bottled with minimal handling, resulting in a lively, expressive style with plenty of personality.
