Following its popularity on April Fools Day this year, Henry is setting you another blind tasting challenge.
This is your opportunity to show off to your mates how good you are at identifying grapes, countries and regions from your palate and a couple of context clues alone! No pressure should be felt to do well. Jake gives Henry a wine to taste blind at least once a week. His success rate is 0.5%. Although identifying a wine as 'white' won't cut the mustard.
This is a really fun, interactive way of learning about wine. You will know the climate, the soil type and winemaking techniques. Alongside a little bit of history behind the producers of the wine on show and then it is down to you to have a stab at the grape and the region. It's a great way of learning why a wine tastes the way it does... at least that's the excuse we're going with.
Of course the usual cheese, bread and charcuterie will be in the middle of the table, there will be a good amount of wine and a great deal of chat. This is not a formal tasting, but it will be fun and Henry promises to make it informative too.

- Please confirm when booking if you have any allergies or dietary requirements. Please note that our cheese & wine tastings cannot be tailored to accommodate strict vegetarian diets due to the nature of our presentation.
- Strictly no under 18's.
- We adore our wonky old building. All we regret is that the staircase to our first floor WC and tasting room is not forgiving and as such rules us out from being accessible. Sorry for the inconvenience it may cause.
- Please note that we kindly ask attendees not to wear strong aftershave or perfume for the event. This sounds like a silly request, but we try and keep our tasting room as a controlled environment so that only the wine fumes invade our nostrils.
