This wine is crafted to honour one of the house's most devoted admirers. Pol Roger's association with Sir Winston Churchill began in the 1940s, rooted in a shared love of tradition, excellence and of course, fine Champagne. Churchill once famously declared "In defeat, I need it; in victory, I deserve it" and so, this prestige cuvee was created in 1975 to commemorate Churchill's legacy.

Like Churchill, this wine is all about richness, power and elegance. The 2015 vintage is seriously special. Made mostly from Pinot Noir and a touch of Chardonnay to keep things fresh. The first sip is like stepping into a fancy French Patisserie - think golden apples, lemon curd, toasted brioche and roasted hazelnuts. It's creamy, luscious and finishes with the perfect amount of zing and minerality. 

When should I drink this? You ask. Obviously when celebrating something huge, or just want to treat yourself to something unforgettable. It's drinking beautifully now, but will age like a dream if you can resist the temptation. Old Winnie would approve.
