What a stunning, gastronomic wine this is. A kaleidoscopic taste of the Jura with flavours ranging from taut citrus, to ripe peaches, to cardamom, nuts, gun smoke and curry leaf. On the palate the wine is at once racy and energetic, with a rich, deep, mineral core. Layered, complex and thought provoking. Certainly worthy of effort in the kitchen - the classic Jura dish of Chicken with morels and Vin Jaune sauce would be the ultimate marriage. I would write off an afternoon and invite some friends to share in the culinary triumph you will no doubt create.

Patrick Ligeron achieved his lifelong dream of acquiring a vineyard in his birthplace of the Côtes du Jura in 2015. Almost by himself, he farms organically eleven pristine hectares in Menétru-Le-Vignoble, with three sitting within the legendary Château-Châlon appellation (Jura’s unofficial ‘Grand Cru’).

Patrick’s wines are suffused with the authentic characters of the Jura while being in keeping with the style we enjoy at - crystal clear purity of fruit paramount - and as a result we believe they are wines that can stand up among the best the region has to offer.
