About The Producer
Domaine Christophe & Yoann Perrin is a small, family-run estate in the village of Vernantois, at the heart of the Jura. Founded by Christophe Perrin in 1998, the domaine covers just seven hectares, planted to the region's classic varieties including Chardonnay, Savagnin, Trousseau, Poulsard and Pinot Noir. In recent years, Christophe's son Yoann has joined the estate after gaining experience at top Burgundy domaines including Ramonet and Tollot-Beaut. Together they've embraced a low-intervention philosophy, combining meticulous vineyard work with restrained winemaking to produce wines that are unmistakably Jura, but with an elegance and finesse that has quickly earned them a loyal following.
Winemaking Information
The Trousseau grapes are grown on the marl and limestone soils of the Jura, where this indigenous variety reaches its finest expression. After a gentle fermentation with careful extraction to preserve the grape's delicate perfume, the wine is matured for around 9–12 months in French oak barrels. The aim isn't to add obvious oak flavour, but to soften the tannins and build texture while allowing Trousseau's bright fruit and savoury character to shine through.
