The Only Way Is Chardonnay // Friday 18th September 2026 // VG Tasting Room // 7pm

- Backordered, shipping soon
Forget everything you think you know about Chardonnay. Big, buttery and oaky? Sometimes. Lean, mineral and citrusy? Absolutely. Somewhere deliciously in between? You bet.
Hosted by Henry, this tasting is a proper deep dive into one of the world’s greatest (and occasionally misunderstood) grape varieties. Across six very different Chardonnays, he’ll take you around the world exploring how climate, terroir and winemaking can completely transform what’s in your glass.
Expect everything from bright, fresh and mineral styles through to richer, textured and seriously smart bottles, with plenty of chat about oak, lees, malolactic fermentation and why Chardonnay is such a brilliant blank canvas for winemakers.
Whether you’re already firmly on Team Chardonnay or still haunted by an over-oaked bottle from the 90s, Henry’s here to convince you.
No stuffiness. No wine snobbery. Still very much Vino Gusto.
As always, cheese and charcuterie included.

- Please confirm when booking if you have any allergies or dietary requirements. Please note that our cheese & wine tastings cannot be tailored to accommodate strict vegetarian diets due to the nature of our presentation.
- Strictly no under 18's.
- We adore our wonky old building. All we regret is that the staircase to our first floor WC and tasting room is not forgiving and as such rules us out from being accessible. Sorry for the inconvenience it may cause.
- Please note that we kindly ask attendees not to wear strong aftershave or perfume for the event. This sounds like a silly request, but we try and keep our tasting room as a controlled environment so that only the wine fumes invade our nostrils.
