Chenin Blanc might just be one of the most versatile grapes going and it deserves a bit more time in the spotlight I think.
Hosted by Evelyn, this tasting will take you through six brilliant Chenin Blancs, exploring just how much this grape can do. From razor-sharp, citrusy and mineral through to ripe, textured and honeyed. We’ll see how different regions, climates and winemaking styles completely change what ends up in your glass.
We’ll dig into Chenin’s spiritual home of the Loire Valley, venture further afield to South Africa and beyond, chatting about everything from old vines and oak to acidity.
Whether you’re already a Chenin convert or barely know your Vouvray from your… well, anything else, come and discover why this grape has such a loyal following.
No stuffiness. No wine snobbery. Still very much Vino Gusto.
As always, cheese and charcuterie included.

- Please confirm when booking if you have any allergies or dietary requirements. Please note that our cheese & wine tastings cannot be tailored to accommodate strict vegetarian diets due to the nature of our presentation.
- Strictly no under 18's.
- We adore our wonky old building. All we regret is that the staircase to our first floor WC and tasting room is not forgiving and as such rules us out from being accessible. Sorry for the inconvenience it may cause.
- Please note that we kindly ask attendees not to wear strong aftershave or perfume for the event. This sounds like a silly request, but we try and keep our tasting room as a controlled environment so that only the wine fumes invade our nostrils.
