This is Sauvignon Blanc with a little more weight and texture, while still having that unmistakable Marlborough freshness. Ripe melon, tangelo and lemon curd bring plenty of fruit, with hints of ginger and toasted coconut adding another layer. It’s broad and silky through the middle, then finishes bright, chalky and gently savoury. A great bottle for anyone who loves Sauvignon but fancies exploring what else it can do. That extra richness makes it particularly good at the table. Try it with roast chicken, grilled fish or creamy seafood dishes; it has the body to stand up to the food and the acidity to keep things fresh.

About The Producer
Greywacke is Kevin Judd’s family-run winery in Marlborough. Founded in 2009, it takes its name from the grey river stones found throughout the region’s vineyards. The small team makes two distinct styles of Sauvignon Blanc, with Wild Sauvignon showing the grape’s richer, more textured side
Winemaking Information
Fruit from Marlborough’s Southern Valleys and Wairau Plains is gently pressed and fermented with wild yeasts in French oak barrels. The wine then spends extended time on its lees, with occasional stirring, and around two-thirds undergoes malolactic fermentation. Those choices give it its rounded texture and gentle spice, while its bright acidity keeps it beautifully balanced.
