Missing the opportunity the first time around, Evelyn practically begged me to taste this. It is simply delicious. Golden apple and rich butterscotch notes - like a tarte tatin - on the nose, followed by a creamy palate with hints of sweet vanilla. Round unctuous and complex with a lifted acidity and a long finish. Wonderful with oozing soft cheese, meaty white fish or poultry.
An idyllic family run winery in Niagara, the perfect cool-climate area for Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The property has been farmed since 1834 but was acquired by Westcott Vineyards in 2006 when Grant Westcott and Carolyn Hurst, both having had highly successful careers in banking and tech, turned their passion into a business reality.
